How to Dye Your Hair Blue

Brandon g

I don't know if you know this, but my hair has been almost every color. My favorite color (and also the hardest one to do properly) is blue. I've prepared this helpful picture documentary of my journey from black hair to blonde to blue in the span of a couple of hours. Are you ready to embark? Well, embark we shall! Blue hair off the starboard bow! Ahoy!

This is my normal hair color. Notice that it is black. Oh, and that's Allison, my lovely assistant.

We first had to bleach my hair to a light blonde color. This required my head to be covered. As you can see, I'm not terribly thrilled with the head cover.

"This head cover makes me want to... makes me want to... sing!"

Well, the head cover thing didn't last too long. We got rid of it and got a blow dryer to speed along the process. At this point, you would probably hear me yelling, "It burns! It burns! Blow dry faster!"

At long last! Blonde hair! Well, sort of... Next, the blue dye.

The blue dye didn't burn, but my sink is still blue to this day. It also took bloody forever. Still better than the bleach, though.

The moral of the story: black hair won't turn blue.
